The factors affecting the bursting pressure of fire hoses mainly include design and production process


(1) Design factors. The factors affecting the bursting pressure of fire hoses are the breaking strength and elongation of the weft, the breaking elongation of the warp and the initial weft density of the hose. Therefore, the warp and weft should be made of materials with high breaking strength and low breaking elongation, and the weft density can be appropriately increased without affecting the softness and quality of the hose.
(2) Production process factors. First, although twisting the warp and weft will increase their breaking strength when they are paralleled, too high a twist will reduce their breaking strength and reduce the softness of the hose. In actual production, the twist is generally 30 to 200 T·m, which is more appropriate; secondly, the uneven tension of single filaments or single yarns during paralleling will cause the breaking strength after paralleling to be less than the combined force of each single strand; thirdly, the unevenness of the hole plate, shuttle wheel, tension spring and jumper spring on the circular loom will also cause the breaking strength of the warp and weft to be lost.
