1. Check for leaks

Check for water leaks. Surface-mounted water supply pipes only need to check whether there is dripping or wetness in the places where the pipes pass, such as floors, walls, and floors, etc., and the leaks can be quickly detected and repaired in time. When there is a large amount of water leakage from buried water supply pipes, there are generally small streams of spring-like water flowing upwards from the ground at the leaking place, or local ground subsidence occurs, wet roads appear on sunny days, and ice and snow in some places melt earlier than surrounding areas in winter, etc. .

2. Overheard

Use a metal listening stick, insert one end of the listening stick into the road that the pipeline may pass through, or touch it on the valve or fire hydrant in the dead of night, and put the other end close to the ear, and listen carefully to the sound of water leakage based on experience. The leaking sound will be louder. When listening to leakage, you can listen to it every 4-8m along the place where the pipeline passes. In special cases, equipment such as semiconductors, ultrasonic waves and other detection leak detection instruments will be used.

3. Leak proof

Borrow the water meter to find the leaking point and the amount of water leaking, and the leak checking work should be carried out in different areas. When checking for leaks, all valves around the pipe network in the area need to be closed and no water is allowed. Only one pipeline equipped with a water meter is connected to the pipe network in the area. If the pointer of the water meter turns, it means that the pipe network in the area is leaking.
