Coatings And Coverings For Fire Hoses

There are many varieties of fire hoses, and their structures also have various types. But the basic structure includes five parts: fabric layer, lining, coating, covering layer and adhesive layer.

Coating

Polymer flexible coatings such as PU and polyacrylate can be used for the outer surface coating of the hose fabric. Domestic export-oriented manufacturers basically use water-based Pu paint and/or water-based styrene-acrylic emulsion as the main material for the film-forming of fire hose coatings, and add curing agents, thickeners, catalysts, leveling agents, pigments, and dispersants as needed. additives such as solvent and deionized water, and design a coating formula that meets the requirements.

Overlay

The double-sided adhesive tape contains a cover layer, whose material properties and selection are generally consistent with the lining, and the thickness is slightly smaller than the lining. The cover layer can be designed to have a similar "rib" structure along the length of the hose. This structure can improve the abrasion resistance of the hose, and at the same time improve the grip of the hose by firefighters.
